Bend's Ride the River Bus & Shuttle Transport
The Ride the River Bus provides an affordable service for those water recreationists who float the Deschutes river downstream and then want a shuttle ride back upstream. For the small price of $1 (for a single ride) or $3 (for a daily pass) you can ride the shuttle and relax. Your river tube, raft, canoe, kayak, stand up paddle board, or other floatation device will be safely secured in the shuttle's trailer.
This transport service is made possible by sponsorships, fares from riders, and a public/private partnership with Bend Radio Group. Join your friends and family on a popular river route from Farewell Bend Park to Drake Park. Rafters, river floaters, and water enthusiasts alike must get out of the river before the Colorado Street Dam, walk along the portage path, and then re-enter the river at McKay Park.
Please take note that the Deschutes River includes fast currents and dangerous rapids. All river recreationists are encouraged to use caution when on the river. Alcohol is illegal on the Deschutes river. Be safe and enjoy what Bend and the Deschutes river has to offer.
